Brentwood Sets Hearing on 76-Acre Crews Annexation
The Brentwood City Commission scheduled a public hearing on a proposed annexation as the 76-acre Crews subdivision moves toward a second and final reading.
The Brentwood City Commission scheduled another annexation public hearing at its Monday meeting, keeping a busy Williamson County growth calendar moving — including the proposed Crews subdivision, an annexation and rezoning of more than 76 acres west of Hillsboro Road and south of Old Hickory Boulevard that the commission unanimously approved on first reading July 13.
What is the Crews annexation in Brentwood?
It brings more than 76 acres into the city limits: 53 acres zoned Open Space Residential Development and 24 acres zoned Suburban Residential held as a reserve lot. The plan yields just 25 lots alongside 32 acres of planned green space — barely a third of a home per acre, which is the Brentwood pattern. No residents spoke at the June 22 public hearing. The Planning Commission reviewed the proposal Aug. 3, with a City Commission public hearing Aug. 10 and second and final reading scheduled for Aug. 24.
What is the Greater Nashville housing market doing in July 2026?
It is splitting by price point. Closings on homes above $800,000 rose 8% year over year and median prices in that segment climbed 7%, while condo closings fell 17% and condo median prices slipped 2%, per Greater Nashville REALTORS® data from RealTracs. Overall July closings were down 2% from a year ago — a smaller dip than the typical national July slowdown — with inventory still rising.
What is the median home price in the Greater Nashville area?

What this means if you own or buy here
- Brentwood owners: 25 lots on 76 acres with 32 acres of green space is the low-density formula that has protected Brentwood values. Annexations like this add almost no supply.
- Luxury sellers: above $800,000 is the strongest part of this market — closings up 8%, median up 7%. Equity-rich buyers care less about 6.69%.
- Condo owners and first-time buyers: condo closings down 17% is the affordability squeeze showing up in the data. Expect longer marketing time and more negotiating room in that segment.
- Buyers: 15,636 units of inventory is real choice again. Use it — inspection and repair leverage is back.
- Move-up sellers: the Catch 22 in Williamson County is that the house you want will take a firm offer, and yours has not sold. A guaranteed-sale plan sets your sale date first,* so you can compete without a contingency.
